Role Overview

Reporting to the Director, Operational Excellence, a BGRS Technical Writer holds the responsibility of delivering technical content to employees of diverse professional backgrounds. The Technical writer will be highly involved in the creation of the instruction manuals, communication aids, and process maps. In addition, this position will interact with employees at all levels and regions of the company and will drive the scope and direction of documentation deliverables.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support global technical teams in developing a story from their technology deployment efforts.
• Determines the clearest and most logical way to present complex information and instructions for greatest reader comprehension.
• Understand technical details of projects and identify audiences for content and anticipate the questions, problems and needs that the content should address.
• Creates graphics, charts, drawings, models, and illustrations, to supplement technical writing deliverables in order to increase the users' understanding.
• Writes and maintains company policies and related documentation, including work instructions and process flows.
• Maintain a comprehensive library and manage updates and revisions to technical documentation.
• Plan, research and write documentation for projects of moderate to high complexity and scope.
• Develop and conduct evaluations on the effectiveness of training programs and learning outcomes and apply recommendations for improvement.
• Reviews and edits documentation created by peers for clarity, grammar, adherence to template, and conformity with all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Meets document project milestones in a timely manner and proactively engages with the project team to advocate for documentation best practices.
• Study existing material and synthesize information while denoting gaps.
• Collaborate with Learning and Development team on delivery of trainings and materials as needed.

What You Bring to BGRS

• Bachelor's degree in English, communications, or related field preferred
• Ability to write complex information in a clear and concise manner, including step-by-step processes
• Certification in Technical Writing
• Strong use of the English language in written and verbal communication
• Experience taking technical information and presenting to various audiences in a user-friendly manner
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Visio
• Engagement with, and knowledge of, RPA is a plus
• Strong research and information gathering skills
