Fitness Instructor

Do you have experience working with an older population, a flexible schedule, and the desire to help people reach their fitness goals? Come join a wonderful wellness team at Hoosier Village. We are looking for a contracted class instructor (both land and water) and a personal trainer that has great experience in adapting exercises to various populations. Positions will start as Part Time or PRN with the potential to add hours as requested.

What We Offer

• Competitive wages, dependent on class length (30-50 min) and experience
• PRN or consistent schedule depending on circumstances
• This position is contracted 1099 employee

Position Summary

Instructors will be leading classes for an older, active population that enjoys the social and active aspects of exercise. We also have potential opportunities for personal trainers as schedules allow.

Duties and Responsibilities

Instructors will be responsible for creating classes and programs, and will have the use of all equipment and space available to our residents here on campus.

• Class Instructor:
• Experience teaching an older population to offer great classes with modifications, as needed. 
• Position currently is a PRN, contracted position with the possibility of adding more hours 
• Aqua aerobics instructor and/or land class instructor (balance, resistance training, cardio - seated and standing)
• Certifications and/or accredited education (exercise science, therapy, athletic training) required
• Personal Trainer:
• Part Time, contracted trainer with the possibility of adding more hours 
• Schedule is flexible 
• Personal Training Certification and/or Exercise Science, therapy or similar degree required
