Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with resolving network issues and coordinating issue resolution with contracted technology support partners.
Establishes and maintains security features on endpoints.
Installs hardware and software at the desktop level.
Serves as the primary provider of hardware and software support for the retirement communities.
Trains end-users on hardware functionality and software programs.
Performs application software maintenance and updates as approved by the Director of Information Technology.
Accurately maintains the inventory and help desk tracking system.
Maintains a current level of operating system and hardware upgrades on all network servers, desktop computers and printers.
Assists Director of Information Technology with developing ideas for the implementation of new technologies at all locations. Stays current with technological advancements and trends in IT support.
Provides support for special projects and other functions/duties as directed by the Director of Information Technology.
Qualifications:
An associate’s degree or five to seven years of successful work related experience as a IT support specialist
Advanced computer related skills
Experience with Microsoft Suite, troubleshooting networking Issues, systems, and hardware
Familiarity with basic/standard computer systems and office equipment
Must be willing to learn and enhance skills in needed areas
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field of study
