Job Description: Purchasing pharmaceuticals including placing orders, invoicing, inventory control, and general product selection as well as checking incoming credit memos Establishes, implements, maintains, and manages a pharmacy purchasing system, ensuring proper controls, checks and balances, etc., are maintained. Understands 340B implications for ordering if applicable. Purchases pharmaceuticals within operational and compliance requirements of the 340B Drug Pricing Program. Understands GPO purchasing and ensures contract compliance. Manages all associates who interact with the system in terms of how they interact with the purchasing system Assures compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) Minimum Education and Training: Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (KY hospitals), within 30 days of hire date if you are a new registrant. If previously registered you must have registration upon hire. Registration with Indiana Board of Pharmacy (IN hospitals) within 30 days of hire date if you are a new registrant. If previously registered, you must have registration upon hire. Nationally certified as a pharmacy technician.
