Shift - 11a -730p
Job Description
The Transporter performs patient transport and other related duties in a timely manner. Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as requested. Recognizes the purpose or employment is to prioritize the patient as number one and to put forth the utmost quality in duties performed as radiology transporters.
Job Duties
- Transport patients according to the designated method and adhering to scheduled times to and from diagnostic treatment areas.
- Assure patient is properly dressed or gowned for examination.
- Coordinates transport of patients to and from diagnostic testing, transports upon admission as appropriate and at discharge.
- Ensures positive customer relations interactions by responding promptly to patient needs and requests for service/assistance.
- Performs and documents all safety checks on transport equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must obtain BLS within three months of hire
Preferred Requirements
- Recent experience in health care setting providing patient care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Previous phlebotomy/point of care testing.
