Summary/Objective
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the provision of ultrasonic diagnostic procedures to patients according to physicians orders and protocols. This Clinical position requires skills and experience in providing patient safety and providing high quality testing. The Ultrasound Technologist must support the mission of providing Sacred Work to all who enter the doors of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.

Proficiently perform ultrasound procedures in the department and other areas and utilize Infection Control principles when performing exams.

Maintain all policy and procedures in sterilizing transducers

Act collaboratively with radiologist staff to provide appropriate procedure data and communicate effectively with technical and medical staff.

Participate in QC/PI activities and work within the guidelines set forth to maintain ACR Accreditation.

Appropriately and completely enter all required date into PACS/RIS.

Participate in clinical oversight of student trainees.
Required Education and Experience
Current certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certification (ARDMS) with 1-3 years of experience in related field.
Required License/Certifications
Certified by Basic Life Support (BLS)
