Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Information Technology department located at our Ridgefield, CT facility. As an Intern, you will support a global organization by assisting in context of digital forensic and investigation related processes. Functional mentoring will be conducted through a combined mentorship, locally in the US.

This role is an on-site position 2-3 days per week in our Ridgefield, CT office.
Fall Co-Ops start dates: July 22 - August 19th, 2024. Co-ops extend 4-6 months.
Compensation Data
This position offers an hourly rate typically between $20/ hour and $33/ hour commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled. For an overview of our benefits please click here.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Automatization and Scripting: Extension of existing scripts as well as the development of new ones to support analysis and automatization of typical digital forensic use cases
- Processes & Documentation: Review, testing, adjustment and creation of already existing or to-be-created process related documentation
- Practical & Theoretical Research: Practical re-creation of provided scenarios of interest as well as edge cases to analyze the effect on different data sources; Pro-active research within forensics communities as well as other publicly available resources in regards to internal research questions
- Visualization & Reporting: Support creation of educational material showcasing the forensics services, review and improvement of already existing analysis and reporting templates
- Testing: Test, utilize and document state of the art toolsets used in forensic investigations; gaining hands-on experience in how forensic processes are built in a large organization.
Requirements
- Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing
- Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the internship
- Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred
- Major or minor in related field of internship
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university Graduate and Advanced Degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
Must be 18 years of age or older
Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities
- Experience with Windows including technical key terminology
- Basic Knowledge about iOS, Android, Linux and MacOS
- Basic Knowledge about IT infrastructure
- Basic SQL skills
- Intermediate Knowledge of a Scripting Language (preferrable Python)
- Intermediate excel skills (i. e. v-lookups, formulas, macros)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to details and self-critical view on work products
- Strong teamwork and positive work ethic
- Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Information Security, and/or Forensics related fields
