At Bickford, everything we do revolves around our residents’ happiness by meeting their specific Core Needs. The Life Enrichment Assistant position is primarily responsible for conducting activities, participating in outings and assisting in the planning and creation of activities
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Branch to a standard of excellence that reflects the quality of care we provide our residents
- Prioritize and complete all maintenance tasks timely
- Address maintenance issues promptly either by fixing the problem or notifying the Director when outside services are needed
- Ensure all apartments are move-in-ready within 3 days after move out
- Assist in arranging service contracts and bids as assigned
- Promptly complete items from Maintenance Request forms
- Manage the Preventive Maintenance Work Schedule to ensure items are completed timely
- Order supplies/chemicals as assigned
- Identify emergency situations and respond appropriately using the applicable Bickford procedure
- Ensure equipment remains in working order and is used safely
- Complete Resident Monitoring System Testing Procedure Checklist as scheduled
- Complete Exit Door Inspection Checklist as scheduled
- Perform emergency tests according to Preventive Maintenance Work Schedule
- Ensure chemicals utilized are securely stored, labeled, used per directions and appropriate PPE is worn
- Ensure OSHA compliance while working in the Branch
- Complete tasks necessary to comply with all applicable state and federal regulatory agencies
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED; or three months related experience or training.
- Willing to take additional training or education which may be required by specific states.
- CPR and First Aid certifications required
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
- Competent in organizational, time management skills
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
