Description
The District Manager has responsibility to lead, direct, and motivate all Branch, Administrative, Operating and Sales associates within the District to achieve the highest safety standards, top line growth, EBIT performance and operational excellence. The DM is responsible to execute on plans and strategies designed to meet and exceed customer needs. The DM has full P&L responsibility for their branches/territory.
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Possesses an Oil and Gas Management background and experience servicing client within the Permian Basin.
- Responsible for ensuring a safe environment at all BICO facilities. Ensure that all branch personnel are walking the talk with regard to safety.
- Manage and coach the sales force, including Inside Sales support, in the development of the business plan allowing the District to achieve or exceed the budgeted sales numbers.
- Manage and coach the Operations team.
- Manage branch assets to ensure BICO will increase market share.
- Optimize profit margins through execution of plans and strategies communicated from Company Management. Maintain operation expenses in line with Gross Profit goals, customer service, and growth plans.
- Review monthly EBIT reports. Update the US Sales Manager regarding substantial variances on Actual versus Budgeted revenue and expenses (positive as well as negative).
- Work in collaboration with finance and operations to execute on plans to realize the strategic pricing targets.
- Initiate & drive marketing campaigns within the District.
- Assign target accounts to sales team and monitor their progress with same.
- Conduct regular (minimum of quarterly) territory reviews with each sales rep.
- Oversee recruiting within district working with Human Resources to hire and retain quality employees.
- Assist shop managers along with human resources with mentoring and documenting deficiencies with underperforming staff.
- Ensure branch managers are completing the annual review process.
- Ensure effective collaboration, teamwork, and communication throughout the District.
- Create SOP s for operations and supporting departments for efficient operation.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Practice cost savings initiatives
- Act in the best interest of Bico Drilling Tools and ensure adherence to all ethics and compliance regulations.
- Conduct frequent field visits and as needed to make certain the products are meeting customer expectations.
- Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Four-year college degree from an accredited institution in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Sales Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Related experience will be taken into consideration in lieu of degree.
- Three to five years of sales or sales management experience in a business-to-business sales environment, a Branch leadership role or comparable experience within the oil & gas industry.
- Working knowledge of downhole drilling tools.
- Experience working in a Lean/Six Sigma environment a plus.
- Advanced level of computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel is required.
- Strong leadership, collaboration skills and the ability to influence.
- Basic understanding of project management skills.
- Advanced English communication skills, both verbal and written required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to maintain and promote confidentiality and integrity.
- Ability to approach problems/customer complaints by providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits, and to follow up to ensure resolution.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The incumbent must be able to:
- Operate basic office equipment, such as a keyboard, mouse, and copier/printer/scanning machine.
- Walk/travel to production areas while wearing the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment when required (i.e., safety glasses or side shields, closed toe shoes, steel-toe footwear, etc.).
- Sit and/or stand for long periods of time; up to 8-10 hours a day.
