What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Retail Manager position at Big Bend Hospice, Inc?
Our Area Retail Manager (ARM) will work collaboratively with our team of visionary leaders to execute the establishment of a multiple quality retail/resale business line focused on high-end home décor and furnishings. Incumbent will be instrumental in the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing and retail campaigns, while preparing stores for launch. Upon opening, the ARM will directly manage a blended team of employees and volunteers while providing clear direction and leadership.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing and executing retail establishment launch and daily operations. Position requires the demonstrated ability to apply visual and marketing excellence through understanding and sharing insight regarding key market drivers; actively using that knowledge to create and seize business and customer focus; product availability; and market development. Proactively identifies and communicates various market opportunities for visual and marketing strategies. Additional requirements include the ability to interpret, apply and manage within financial margins; preparation of daily, weekly and monthly activity reports; excellent written and oral communication skills; and the ability to develop and establish professional relationships and networks that support the mission of the organization.
The ARM must be able to combine operational and leadership excellence with product staging, creativity and design skills that attract the visual shopper. Sales experience is vital to success and candidates must be able to connect with donors and shoppers alike, with the goal of closing the deal.
Final candidates will be required to submit to and successfully pass a Level 2 background screening and pre-employment drug screening.
