Montessori Classroom Assistant
Big Leaf Montessori School is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time float position in our Primary classroom.
Hours: 40 hours/week, approximately 8:30-5:00, Monday-Friday
Essential job duties include: Looking for a calm, warm, and consistent caregiver to work collaboratively with a team of educators, parents, and children. Support the lessons and work of the Lead Guide by organizing and making materials, cleaning and sanitizing, redirecting and monitoring students during work and play, and guiding children through independent lessons, as directed by the Lead Guide and the Montessori Philosophy.
Qualifications:
Must have experience with children
Approved Background Check in MERIT (Washington Childcare Registry)
Current on all DCYF training requirements
Background check, CPR Certified, Driver License, Food Handler's Card
Montessori experience (preferred, not required)
Washington State Teaching Certificate (preferred, not required)
Associate/Bachelor Degree in a related field (preferred, not required)
EOE. Hourly pay based on education and experience.

All employees are required to follow DOH requirements, including wearing a mask, enforcing COVID-19 policies with children, and being fully vaccinated by October 18.
