SUMMARY:
- Primary responsibility is focused in the wine department but overall store knowledge will be required.
- Performs all aspects of retail sales including but not limited to greeting and welcoming customers, suggestive selling, closing the sale, and accurately completing the sale on the point-of-sale register.

- Greets and assists customers in an enthusiastic and courteous manner; by name when possible and provides outstanding customer service.
- Advises and assists customers with their choices of product for themselves and for gifts.
- Answers customer inquiries and provides appropriate product-related information.
- Contacts customers when necessary to follow-up on product inquiries.
- Utilizes customer-focused selling skills, add-on selling, closing skills, and other sales generating skills.
- Utilizes various selling techniques to increase sales.
- Accurately completes sales using POS system according to established procedures.
- Stocks and cleans the store for the best sales appearance and ease of use for the customer.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of all merchandise in selling area to effectively assist customers with accurate information; keeps current as new product lines are introduced.
- Assists with merchandising efforts, displays, and floor moves as needed.
- Maintains working knowledge of products and/or services.
- Windex, wipe down, dust, clean and polish, as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
- Calculate figures and amounts.
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Stand for prolonged periods as well as walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb.
- Understand and respond to a diverse population.
- Must be able to lift, push/pull up to 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Noisy at times
- Varied temperatures.Requires the ability to maneuver in the beer cooler.
