Cannabis Dispensary Retail Manager
The Cannabis Dispensary Retail Manager collaborates with the General Manager and Owner to identify and direct the day-to-day operations of the store. The Retail Manager will develop strategies to continuously improve the customer experience, drive store sales, help create store policies, and maintain high standards and conditions while fostering a positive environment.
Most importantly is ensuring customers’ needs are met, any issues are resolved and creating a positive and educational experience for them. All products and displays should be merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability, and staffing needs must be accurately forecasted to provide optimal staffing at all times.
An understanding of cannabis products and compliance is preferred but retail management experience trumps those requirements.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Leadership Presence
Excellent interpersonal skills
Training and orienting employees
Achieve sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to staff
Regular and daily presence on the sales floor working alongside staff
Adherence to all local and state compliance mandates
Inventory management
Educating yourself and staff on all cannabis products carried by BFCC

Building Brand Equity:
Understand and successfully communicate, and emulate, brand philosophy, and vision to the sales team and store guests.
Ensure brand and operating standards are met to support brand consistency
Ensure store presentation standards are achieved and maintained
Ensure staff maintains and upholds the brand standards

Operations:
Perform and supervises store opening and closing procedures including, but not limited to, counting register funds, opening and closing registers, and securing facility
Accurately processes all POS transactions
Adherence to loss prevention policies and all other operational procedures
Coordinating and facilitating regular staff meetings
Work with GM to communicate store signage needs
Maintaining and updating store menus

Skills and Abilities Required:
Proven successful experience in retail environment – 2-3 years preferable
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented and able to see the ‘bigger picture’.
Proactive ability to multi-task and prioritize

Physical Requirements:
Available to work store schedules including weekends, some evenings, and some holidays.
Standing for extended periods of time
Able to safely list up to 50lbs
