The Role
We are seeking a proven; experienced Vice President to own revenue and manage a team of Account Managers (RELATIONSHIP MANAGERS). This role will drive strategies to increase customer lifetime value, cross sell new products and create the best possible customer experience. In the VP role, we look for someone to lead by example and exemplify our core values and inspire a team of highly driven account managers to impress themselves on a daily basis. What You’ll Do
Drive Account Strategy and Growth
- Develop an account strategy in gaining a larger wallet share of current accounts.
- Own expansion and customer re-engagement strategy and targets.
- Maximize customer revenue while protecting risk.
- Develop and own Quarterly Business Review philosophy.
- Own the customer journey from a relationship perspective.
- Build out processes and standardize how Account Managers manage day to day activities to maximize performance.
Leadership
- Work alongside Account Managers by supporting deal strategy and customer meeting preparation to ensure pipeline creation, retention, and growth of existing Customers.
- Grow and develop the AM team, including recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new Account Managers on the Post Sales process.
- Create the framework to scale the Account Management team from 5 to approximately 20 people over the next 2 years.
- In partnership with Sales Enablement, enable team members via training and certifications to ensure consistent development of the team.
- Monitor sales activity of the team, track results and lead weekly forecast and pipeline review meetings.
- Report to the leadership team on metrics like pipeline development, revenue growth, customer retention, and forecast.
- Establish clear alignment and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams: Business Operations, Finance Operations, Legal, Product, Sales Enablement, and People Operations.
- Serve as an escalation point for Account Managers and customers.
- Travel with Account Managers to drive revenue and provide coaching as needed.
- Strong executive presence. Expert ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in writing, orally, and in presentations.
- Demonstrate extreme ownership as a leader of a fast-paced, growing team.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience leading others, ideally an Account Management team
- Consistent track record of overachieving on attainment targets
- 5 years of sales management experience combined with a proven track record of success in a similar enterprise environment
- 7 years of quota-carrying sales and experience as an individual contributor
- Finance or construction industry experience is a plus
