The ideal candidate must be highly motivated and technically skilled, possess a technical aptitude with strong written and verbal skills, and be passionate about integrating ecology and design.
The Engineering Technician hired for this position will support our multi-disciplinary team on a range of projects related to integrated water strategies for public, private, and institutional clients throughout the country. Projects will include water master planning, water balance modeling, rainwater harvesting, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and water reuse. Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and support a wide range of integrated water strategy projects including water supply, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, rain harvesting, and water reuse systems.
Prepare design and construction documents (drawings and specifications).
Provide construction administration, including field observations.
Provide oversight of system start-up, implementation, operation, and maintenance.
Conduct operations procedure setup and management for wastewater, greywater, and rain harvesting systems.
Required Experience & Skills
Knowledge of pumps, meters, valves, piping systems, instrumentation, controls, etc.
Ability to size and specificity water infrastructure equipment.
Knowledge of water supply, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, rain harvesting, and/or water reuse systems.
Experience assisting with design and construction documentation, including plans and specifications.
Proficient with AutoCAD.
Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Ability to work both collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Helpful Experience & Skills
Wastewater process engineering experience.
Experience with MBBR’s, constructed wetlands, sand filters, trickling filters, UV, and/or ozone components.
Water budget modeling.
Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling programs (e.g., TR-55/TR-20, HEC-RAS, SWMM, HydroCAD, etc.).
Cost estimating experience.
Technical writing experience.
Enjoys travel!
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering field (e.g., Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, etc.) or equivalent knowledge/experience.

Professional Registration
None required. Professional Engineering and/or Certified Water or Wastewater Operators Licenses are desirable, but optional.
Salary Range
$55,000 or higher based on experience and location
Location
