Manager, Training & Development The Manager, Training and Development is with the Atlantic Business Unit. This is a remote position; however the preference is for the incumbent to live within the Atlantic BU region. Summary: Directs and coordinates all training for the Atlantic Business Unit . The Manager, Training and Development Directs the OLTM, QLTM, DTM and TC’s positions in each Business Unit. The Manager, Training and Development Oversees the Development and administration of the training program for Business Units Plasma Donor Centers in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), regulatory standards, and in conjunction with established and proven training methods. Responsible for oversight of the Business Unit (BU) learning environment by cultivating employee engagement and developing relationships that build strong teams, fosters retention and increases productivity. As a facilitator of learning and information this position creates a culture of connectivity and collaboration that builds learning communities. This role is able to assess the overall developmental needs of the BU, drive training initiatives and identify suitable and sustaining training and development solutions for BU leadership teams and center employees. Primary Responsibilities:
- Leads and directs the OLTM, QLTM, DTM and TCs in each Business Unit.
- Review the effectiveness of donor center training programs through internal and external training audits and associate observations
- Assures that the OLTM, QLTM, DTM and TC’s follow procedural requirements as defined in the donor center SOP and/or training programs.
- Ensures overall process of associate training in the donor centers to include technical, cGMP and OSHA.
- Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the various training roles in each business unit.
- Responsible for the development, evaluation, and effectiveness of Center Designated Trainers
- Responsible for Regional Training Management staff to implement and monitor corrective actions (CAPA) as well as provide feedback regarding current issues.
- Participates in the development and implementation of training objectives that are designed to disseminate and teach standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Coaches and trains DTM's OLTM's and QLTM's and others involved in employee training & development efforts in the BU.
- Manages and leverages development programs that cultivate, engage and develops talent at all levels and roles within Biomat USA.
- Provides direction and leadership for company-wide organizational T&D programs and initiatives.
- Understands key business drivers in order to work with business leaders to identify training & development needs.
- Prescribes learning methods such as developmental tools, workshops, job shadowing and online training courses.
- Evaluates training objectives, the effectiveness of learning programs on business results with the use of metrics and data analysis.
- Directs & facilitates all T&D programs in the BU, tools, technology and learning management solutions that inspires learning, encourages collaboration and builds partnerships to manage change.
- Supports Training Coordinators and Leaders developing their teams and individuals through career mapping and succession planning.
- Maintain current knowledge base of training development methods, and changes in the industry that require adjustments to current training
Education: College degree required Additional Responsibilities: Experience in preparation and delivery of presentation to both groups and individuals. Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Time management and organizational skills are imperative. Must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Complete certification in Donor Processing, Plasma Processing, Phlebotomy, Training Coordinator and Designated Trainer curriculums within 6 months of hire date. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrate effective distance management of Training Coordinators. May assist in the development and facilitation of technical training materials. Strong organizational skills. Must be able to travel 75% of the year. Support Operations and Quality in the implementation of corrective action plans to correct regulatory deficiencies. Provide training on issues or topics as identified by regional and/or center leadership.
