Job Description
Create, maintain, and verify the schedule and/or interface with customer service, production, and engineering managers and work to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
Description Of Responsibilities
- Participates in continuous improvement of Planning and Control systems
- Oversee the schedules and ensure comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing
- Create analysis of demand data to identify trends for master schedule inputs and variance reporting
- Effectively communicate scheduling exceptions to Sales, Operations, and Program Managers
- Resolve demand/supply/capacity issues
- Evaluating new or changed customer orders/escalations relative to shop load and delivery times and prioritizing/re-prioritizing jobs accordingly
- Analyzing customer demands and optimizing build plans for specific products
- Reviewing new products/parts planning attributes and keeping them aligned
- Interface with operations leads, planning, project management, purchasing, management, and quality to provide current and forward-rolling dated schedules and metrics
- Possess strong leadership qualities, self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision
- Experience and knowledge of NetSuite ERP, MS Office applications, and ability to learn other applications
- Highly skilled in data analysis, manipulation, and presentation including successful utilization of computerized systems including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Vision, and Access
- Proficient in the understanding of MRP, scheduling logic, order policies, capacity planning, input/output control, product structures, routings, and standards maintenance
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
