What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at Bistecca Steakhouse and Wine Bar?
Bistecca Steakhouse & Wine bar is located on the second floor of the Meadows casino, we are privately owned and operated fine dining establishment.
We are looking to hire a energetic, friendly and professional part time host/hostess. Four-five days a week some shifts starting at 3pm, others at 5pm. Friday and Saturday availability preferred.
- Greet all guests with a friendly welcome and a smile. Greet the guest by saying “Good Afternoon/ Good Evening, welcome to Bistecca, how may I help you?”
- Escort guest to tables and provide menus
- Have working knowledge of dining room layout, table numbers, stations and servers working during shift
- Inform servers of a recently seated table if he or she is not aware of it
- Answer phone calls within three rings using the established script: “Thank you for calling Bistecca this is (name), how may I help you?”
- Maintain a clean, pleasant and professional image to the guest and wear proper uniform at all times. Keeping work area clean at all times
- Report to work at scheduled time
- Complete any special cleaning projects as assigned
- Follow and execute all side work duties
- Maintain a “performance” attitude at all times
- Communicate with manager on any issues with quality of food and beverage
- Assist in running food or clearing/cleaning tables when necessary to re-seat tables
- Provide assistance to other employees to contribute to the smooth operation of the restaurant
- Perform all duties as required and other tasks as assigned while following good housekeeping habits and safe work practices
