Description

The Bizzell Group, one of the fastest growing businesses in America, is seeking a Communications Specialist to partner in developing communication strategies and build consensus across health research related communities and advisory bodies through our work with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Network of Quality Improvement and Innovation Contractors (NQIIC). 

Requirements

  • Plan and implement the outreach and publication of communications activities
  • Advise and participate in internal and external communications
  • Support the firm’s Federal support to NQIIC community communications efforts including planning and coordination, integrated communications strategy and products (e.g., newsletter content, stories, materials, publications, etc.) and dissemination and implementation for best practices
  • Leverage creative and innovative digital tools that will enhance the NQIIC brand reputation and increase stakeholder affinity
  • Develop and support regular, weekly communication with stakeholders through newsletters, email blasts, listservs and success stories
  • Continuously update information via public and community portals with focused content
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications and/or public relations activities online and offline
  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal skills
  • Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications
  • Proficient in word processing, data base management and page layout
  • Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or public relations preferred
  • At least five (5) years of experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, preferably in the Federal health sector
  • Graduate degree in a related field is desirable
