Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement logistics reporting to monitor trends and forecast transportation and distribution budgets. Monitor operational and sales metrics and KPI’s. Partner with team on translating data into business insight and collaborating with team on action plans as necessary .
- Apply a broad understanding of multiple operations, resources and procedures in adjacent areas such as Supply Chain, Logistics, Shipping and Receiving, and IT, to better evaluate distribution options and cost benefits.
- This position may work independently on smaller projects or participate as part of a team on large-scale projects.
- The position researches and analyzes data, and documents, compiles, and summarizes findings.
- The position makes written and verbal recommendations and presentations of findings, options, and impact.
- The position provides input on system application needs, or implements system tools to assist with distribution management activities or analyses.
Job Requirements:
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or equivalent field
- Preferred Experience: 3-5 years in an Operational/Financial Processing role with Retailer, CPG company, or 3PL provider
- General business knowledge of warehouse operations
- Ability to contribute in a team based environment
- Strong reporting skills and ability to summarize high level data into a format appropriate for senior management
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent communication skills - Demonstrate ability to collaborate internally and cross-functionally with BJ’s Team Members at all levels of the organization
- Detail Oriented, time management skills, conceptual and analytical mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Background in lean six sigma/continuous improvement is a plus, as well certifications (PMP, APICS, etc.) is a plus for this role
