Role Purpose
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates ongoing educational and professional development activities and programs for clinical and non-clinical areas across Radiology at BJH, SC CAM and OC. Creates, manages and coordinates orientation program for new hires and students at both locations. Chairs multiple cross-departmental teams related to staff development, leadership development, enhanced communication with staff, increased management visibility, etc. Manages and directs employee recognition process and budget at BJH, SC CAM and OC. Supports Joint Commission/compliance efforts in the department, maintains related materials and records, and provides audits as needed.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes developmental and educational needs and evaluates effectiveness of educational activities. Develops and facilitates in-service and training programs for clinical and support staff relative to competency, the patient experience and quality improvement initiatives. Collaborates with leadership and develops training that is linked to specific goals and outcomes.
- Supports the recruitment efforts, creating a positive, organized interview process for candidates. Develops and manages new hire departmental orientation for all staff and students, adjusting content to ensure all training needs are covered. Collaborates with schools to ensure student compliance.
- Creates ongoing processes, in conjunction with the management team, to hardwire behavioral changes related to improving the patient experience. Directs and manages Customer Service initiatives in Radiology at BJH, SC CAM and at the OC. Directs employee recognition efforts across the Department and implements and facilitates cross-departmental teams. Manages recognition teams and budget.
- Works with the management team to support all joint commission and regulatory compliance issues; maintains appropriate materials and records; prepares reports as requested; provides regular audits as well as ac hoc audits. Maintains department-wide records.
- Responsible for web-site development and on-line educational training requirements Serves as the educational coordinator for all ASRT course approval for the Radiology Department. Submits, tracks and monitors all ASRT educational programs held in Radiology. Prepares and distributes CE credits upon completion of approved courses.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree- Business/HR or related
- 2-5 years experience
- 2-5 years supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree- Business/HR or related- 5-10 years experience
