SUMMARY: Contributor in providing software solutions, including design, code and testing, for a variety of academic and non-academic application systems.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interact with end users for clarification of requirements.
Plays an active role in the design, development and support of various software applications used by the academic business units at Bob Jones University.
Writes program specifications as needed from business requirements as well as converts designs and specifications into computer code.
Provides unit and system level test planning, scripting and execution to validate solutions.
Provides technical assistance to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs.
Maintains working knowledge of current technologies through peer interaction and independent study.
Provides work estimates, schedules and progress reports as needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Working knowledge of object-oriented software technology
Excellent problem-solving skills
Very good communication skills both written and oral
Ability to work well with others
Understanding of the University's goals and objectives.
