Overview
Performs limited electronic, electromechanical, mechanical and support production assembly and functions of a repetitive nature to build and assemble routine units.
Qualifications
Education:
High School or equivalent plus 2 or more years of related experience. IPC/JSTD preferred.
Experience:
Acquires job skills and learns work standards and procedures in order to complete routine tasks.
Responsibilities

Essential Functions Statements:
- May perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire to specified size, stripping, tinning, or bending wire parts, wiring and fastening terminal connections.
- Assembles and installs various electrical or electronic componenets where operation and sequence are specified by blueprints, diagrams, or established operations practices.
- Uses various common hand tools such as wire strippers, wrenchers, screwdrivers, pliers.
- May operate automatic and semi-automatic assembly/production equipment.
- Notifies group leader or supervisor of quality or other issues.
- May be assigned to Wiring, Epoxy, Final Assembly/Lensing, and other areas.
- May perform solder touch-up or solder of parts as a secondary operation.
- May train other assemblers.
- May complete other duties as assigned.
