Director of Property Management

Location: Central Office (Job will be based in office during finalization of office move)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Property Manager to oversee the operations and administration of our properties. The Director of Property Management will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of properties, working with on-site property managers, maintaining tenant satisfaction, and maximizing property performance.

Duties:
-Develop and execute comprehensive property management plans to optimize operational efficiency, resident satisfaction, and financial performance.-Lead a team of property managers, leasing agents, maintenance staff, and administrative personnel to ensure exceptional service delivery and performance.-Implement best practices in leasing, marketing, and resident retention to maximize occupancy and rental income.-Oversee the financial performance of assigned properties, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.
- Coordinate with staff regarding property maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and disputes in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate records and files related to property management activities
- Perform data entry tasks to update tenant information, rent payments, and maintenance requests
- Collaborate with legal counsel on matters related to fair housing regulations and lease agreements

Experience:
- Proven experience in property management, preferably in a leadership role
- Familiarity with property maintenance practices and procedures
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Proficient in file management, data entry, and office software applications
- Understanding of real estate law and legal administrative processes
- Experience with Appfolio or other property management software
- Knowledge of fair housing regulations
