Talent Insights Partners work closely with BlackRock leaders to analyze and interpret human capital data in support BlackRock’s strategic talent initiatives. We are looking for a Director to lead the ongoing transformation of our approach to the use of people data (including metrics, definitions, usage), analytical approaches, and development of insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities
The Talent Insights leader will be responsible for the design, implementation, ethical use (in partnership with ER, Legal, Compliance, Risk), delivery, and analysis of people and workforce data across BlackRock. This will require building strong relationships with adjacent functions (e.g. HR-Platforms, HR-Reporting, Finance, Legal, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to manage this effectively and collaboratively.
In this role, you will represent Talent Insights throughout the organization; this includes responsibility for formulating, articulating, and executing vision and strategy, managing, and enhancing people analytics data quality, as well as evangelizing and enabling the wider HR function and business to use, action and measure the outcomes of people analytics.
Success will be achieved through leading a team that provides partnership to the global organization around critical people decisions. This will include partnering with HR leadership and the head of Employee Listening in mapping the employee lifecycle, highlighting the moments that matter and designing and/or implementing tools that measure, provide insights and create actions that support these. Beyond the Talent Insights team and your AIR colleagues, you will have the opportunity to influence a geographically diverse team consisting of a broad range of Human Resources professionals with varying analytical responsibilities. We will look to you to counsel and coach this distributed team on how to create meaningful insights that lead to improved business and workforce outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Masters in I/O Psychology, Economics or other research related field preferred)
Proven leadership experience in People Analytics or employee related research
Excellent analytical skills - ability to analyze large datasets, detect and correct errors, interpret, and develop recommendations
Experience with VBA, R and/or other scripting languages
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience presenting in front of senior leaders (ability to transform complex analyses into a simple story)
Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to proactively anticipate problems and opportunities
Extensive knowledge of Excel, MS Access and PowerPoint; knowledge of Workday and Qualtrics is a plus (preferred)
