What are the responsibilities and job description for the Membership Director position at Blackstone Country Club?

Blackstone Country Club is seeking a dynamic, high-energy salesperson to join our team as a Membership Director. The Membership Director will play a vital role in sourcing and enrolling new Members. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about sales, community engagement, and enhancing the private club member experience.

General Purpose:
Directs all marketing of membership sales and follows through with actual sales and sales approval processes. Ensures accuracy of file systems and accounting procedures and coordinates new member introduction into the Club.
Essential Duties:
  • Achieve the Club’s Membership sales goals and all membership activity
  • Develops and leads a strategic membership development program designed to increase total membership count and membership dues revenue.
  • Responsible for recruiting (lead generation) and enrolling new Members into the Club
  • Assist in executing quarterly game plans to achieve departmental revenue goals
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Club Management to develop membership programs and social media campaigns to enhance awareness and brand recognition
  • Assists in the development and implementation of advertising and promotional campaigns designed to generate membership sales.
  • Develops and ensures proper maintenance of an accurate contact management system including call records, database and activity management.
  • Maintains membership records on all members. Ensure the enrollment process is complete and accurately record Membership profile information.
  • Maintain prospect database in accordance with standards, utilizing system functionality for organization and reporting
  • Assists in coordination of all club events to include invitations, mailings and other publicity. Maintains and develop strong relationships with current members to encourage participation in club events and maintain a high level of member satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicates with management staff and associates to increase knowledge of membership goals, membership satisfaction, membership retention, and membership activities. Networks with community partners including, but not limited to: Chamber of Commerce, local tourism councils, exchange clubs, local corporate executives, business leaders, and media contacts.
  • Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Develops ongoing training programs.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
Education/Experience:
Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferences:

Ability to read and speak English in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates are required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates use are in English). Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
