Director, Health Information Mgmt

The Director, Health Information Management is responsible for the overall management and support of Health Information Management systems including implementation, planning, and maintenance.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification preferred
Minimum 5-7 years EHR, HIT, and healthcare industry experience required
NextGen Enterprise EMR experience preferred
Knowledge of federal and state legislation related to ACO entities, CMS, DHHS regulatory environments preferred
Strong problem solving, analytical and investigative skills required
Proficiency using systems and programs to investigate and resolve data integrity issues, including running and analyzing reports required
Working knowledge of project management functions and techniques: utilizes project management skills and identifies task dependencies required
High level of understanding of HIPAA, state and federal regulations and guidelines regarding maintenance of health records and health information required
Understanding of system architecture, infrastructure, integration, and databases required
Ability to comprehend work flow and integration of electronic applications into the current environment required
