HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

Summary
To provide Human Resource support for all departments and employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Hiring, Onboarding, Employee Retention:
  • Coordinate the hiring and onboarding needs of the company, ensuring supervisor compliance with the hiring process and a positive experience for the new hires from application to first day of work
  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Ensure Applicant tracking software is maintained and kept up to date with full data integrity
  • Work with supervisors to post new positions internally
  • Arrange onboarding feedback meetings for new hires within 1-2 months of hire
  • Generate or participate in projects to promote positive morale and engagement
  • Coordinate and arrange monthly lunches with employees and Leadership Team
  • Conduct exit interviews to determine areas of opportunity for change and improvement
Time and Attendance:
  • Coordinate the payroll process with key individuals, ensuring payroll is completed accurately and within expected time frames
  • Manage the Attendance/Paid Leave records accurately
  • Generate and distribute all related reports to supervisors weekly
Policies and Procedures:
  • Provide leadership and guidance on Blair policy to employees and supervisors
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Manage the new hire enrollment into Blair benefit options (Health, Life, Dental, LTD)
  • Participate on Safety Committee as an active member
Training and Development:
  • Develop and arrange training for employees
  • Log training into tracking software
Other General HR:
  • Maintain employee files, handle daily/weekly filing of documents
  • Function as primary backup to Senior Administrative Manager
  • Assist with organizational events for employees
  • Support and involvement in company events
  • Miscellaneous admin support for other department supervisors throughout the company
  • Assist with travel arrangements as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
Education and Experience
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources OR business degree with strong comparable experience
  • At least one year of human resource management experience required, 3-5 years preferred.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents
  • Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public

  • The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate.

Salary : $48,300 - $61,100
