Claims Specialist - Workers Compensation

A DAY IN THE LIFE Enters all non-medical incidents into corporate and insurance database and verifies the accuracy of information before filing any claims. Reviews incident investigations and preventative measures to ensure the highest hierarchy of controls are achieved. Proactively communicates safety concerns observed through the review and entering of incident investigations to the Claims Specialist. Supports the claims group with other administrative tasks as needed and may act as a backup for others as needed. WHAT YOU’LL NEED Minimum of a two-year degree; or equivalent combinations of education and experience. Two or more years of progressive experience working within Workers’ Compensation. Experience working in an organization that supports multiple states preferred. WHAT WILL SET YOU APART Intermediate computer skills (Internet & Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Publisher and Outlook) are a must). Attention to detail and an organized demeanor. Ability to organize and prioritize numerous changing tasks.
