Job Title: Accounting Associate
Job Summary:
Seeking someone with strong data entry skills in a fast paced accounting department. Accounting associate will handle processing payments by coding and scanning them into our payment system. They will post payments to customers accounts accurately and efficiently. The accounting associate is also responsible for handling unposted payments and reconciliation of payments. Processing and reconciling payment returns / nsfs. Issuing of remittance to our clients. The person is expected to adhere to all policies and procedures set forth within our industry. Prior payment coding experience is a plus.
Essential Duties:
- Post Customer payments
- Post trust reconciliations
- Data entry for various financial functions
- Handle administrative functions
- Electronic forwarding of financial data to our clients
- Prepare internal financials.
- Code payments for proper customer allocation and bank deposit
- Post payment returns
- Creating and issuing client remittance and invoicing
Education and Experience:
- Accounting or coding experience is a plus
- Associates or Bachelors degree form an accredited University is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Detail oriented.
- Highly organized.
- Self-Starter.
- Flexible.
- Strong Excel skills
- Working in a team environment
