Senior Mods Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Mods Engineer you will work on the core development of the mods platform at Blitz. This includes designing and building the infrastructure, databases, and back-end systems necessary to support mod creation, distribution, and management.

What You’ll Do

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating the platform for which our in-game mods are created and located
• Develop user-friendly tools or interfaces that empower mod creators to design and build mods for the games supported by the platform
• This could include modding editors, asset creation tools, and scripting environments
• Implement security measures to ensure that mods hosted on the platform are safe and do not contain malware or malicious code
• Develop user profiles that track a user’s modding activity, contributions, and preferences
• Continuously optimize the platform’s performance to ensure fast load times and responsiveness, even as the number of mods and users grows
• Collaborate with game developers to ensure seamless integration of mods with supported games

What It Takes To Be Successful

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 4 years of engineering experience
• Experience creating game mods
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in the gaming industry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand highly technical information
• Prior experience with, or a passion for, gaming softwares

• Annual salary range: $130k-150k USD bonus

Salary for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
