We are Hiring Immediately for a Tool Maker at our Elk Grove Village, IL location.
Hours: 5:00/6:00a - 5:00/6:00p, Usually about 10-15 hours of OT - No Weekends!
Pay: Negotiable based on experience
The CNC Machinist / Tool Maker is responsible for making precision tools (such as jigs, molds and dies), special guides, and holding devices, which are then used in the manufacturing process to make products. In this position you will use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines, so a solid background in a variety of technical and IT processes is important.
Job Duties:
- Assembling, fitting and repairing tools
- Following engineering drawings to measure and mark out the design for the tool
- Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws, and surface grinders
- Using machinery such as lathes, presses, milling machines and grinders to cut and shape the tool
Qualifications:
- Considerable previous tool making experience
- Must have at least 1 year fastener experience
- Ability to read Blueprints for parts
- Basic Math Skills
