What are the responsibilities and job description for the CABINET DESIGNER position at Bloedorn Lumber?
SUMMARY:
Meet with prospective and/or existing clients in the store showroom and/or jobsite to plan, estimate, and create designs (kitchen, bath, etc.).
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Create and deliver bids, takeoffs, and/or price lists to clients in a timely manner.
- Create and complete design requests for clients in a timely manner.
- Read and interpret original concept drawings and/or blueprints.
- Communicate with customers, salespeople, and contractors.
- Create layouts using 20/20 design software.
- Attend and participate in Bloedorn-sponsored training, when required.
- Perform other assigned duties, responsibilities, or tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Designer must:
- Complete and pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background screen.
- Speak, write, and communicate effectively in the English language.
- Interpret written, oral, diagrams, and schedule-form instructions.
- Calculate figures and amounts (i.e., discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.).
- Utilize Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Utilize 20/20 design software.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
A Designer will:
- Work in both an indoor and outdoor setting.
- Occasionally lift/move objects up to 50 pounds, stand, and walk.
- Regularly sit, use hands, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear.
