Blooms Garden Center and BladeWorks Landscaping is seeking a talented individual to join our managerial team. Blooms opened in 2017 as an extension of our established landscaping company. In the last 5 years, Blooms has grown in both size and reputation, becoming the areas’ premiere location for superior plant selection and quality. We continue to grow and are looking for a motivated individual to grow with us and work alongside our nursery, perennials, and merchandising managers to oversee our annuals department. The primary role of the Annuals Manager is to manage all aspects of our annual plant department, including ordering, tracking inventory and plant maintenance, as well as helping to train and lead seasonal green team staff.

About the job:
- 40 hrs/week in season
- Regular weekend hours required during green season
Responsibilities:
- Help train and lead a team of seasonal green team staff members
- Ordering and inventory management of all annual plants
- Manage annual plant maintenance and oversee their care
- Monitor and coach team on proper horticultural practices including pest/disease identification, IPM, fertilizing and watering
- Maintain professional working relationships with growing partners, clients, and industry representatives.
- Plan and execute some off-site annual planting projects for clients
Requirements:
- Driver's license and reliable transportation
- Professional experience and/or a degree in horticulture or a related field.
- Extensive annual plant knowledge
- Possess strong leadership abilities and team building expertise
- Excellent customer service/retail skills
- Must be able to maintain a positive, collaborative attitude and professionally manage a team in a fast-paced environment
- Able to repeatedly lift 40lbs and work long hours on your feet
- Must have experience in IPM and plant disease ID
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
