Responsibilities: Investigate opportunities for improved reliability and efficiency of manufacturing processes through IoT integration; own and drive the technical architecture, roadmap, and implementation Run IoT connectivity projects internally or with contractors during the design, assembly, and installation phases Development of data collection solutions for SCADA systems, Databases, PLC's and API's to report back to the cloud using edge devices or networked control systems Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, computing environment, and system configuration problems to maintain the software link between sensors, gateways and cloud infrastructure Qualifications: Strong skills for design and process simplification Experience with ICS protocols (ex. OPCUA, MT-Connect, Modbus) Experience with programming and/or modifying PLC's to collect data from industrial systems (ex. GPIO's, IO Cards, Sensors) Proficient in resolving local network and wireless networking issues using WiFi scanning, IP scanning, Port scanning and packet sniffing tools (ex. Wireshark, NMAP, Telnet, etc.) Proficient in analyzing anomalies in time series data and finding root causes using engineering practices to define data quality (ex. Six-Sigma, R, Matlab, Python) Proficient in understanding and mapping internal control system data to operational metrics that drive equipment reliability and performance 7 years’ experience designing and optimizing industrial equipment using data collection, analysis and controls implementations. Ability to communicate optimally, clearly, and with humility to partners Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to building a positive culture of inclusion and diversity An understanding of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Desired: B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Electrical, Controls, or other relevant engineering field Familiar with various control systems standards such as IEC 61131, ANSI B11, NFPA 79, and RIA 15.06 Experience with writing and developing software (ex. Python, C#, Java) Experience with MSSQL or equivalent database technologies (ex. adding users, creating views, select queries) to create batch data streams Experience with DevOps monitoring software (ex. Datadog, Grafana) Experience with AWS CLI, S3 and MQTT Experience in version control systems (ex. Git, SVN) Experience working with agile tools (ex.
