Job Responsibilities
- Under direction of the Project Manager, coordinate projects from the R&D phase to completion through the generation and tracking of timelines
- Manage all business aspects of the project; timelines and project updates from development through commercialization
- Prepare minutes for all internal and external meetings/teleconferences
- Communicate and escalate project issues on a timely basis
- Exercise independent judgment and analysis on a daily basis
- Change of scope management and tracking
- Perform tracking of materials and componentry required for projects
- Perform tracking of documentation required for projects
- Complete project status sheets
- Manage an appropriate number of active projects, ensuring all assigned projects are delivered on time while managing the revenue and the budget
- Lead the internal project team to resolve all project issues and resource constraints affecting the project
- Manage complex projects from pre-formulation onwards with the assistance of the Project Manager
- Provide feedback to department manager on project team member performance
- Facilitate positive team member interaction and manage conflict
- Participate in Project Management improvement initiatives.
- Present to Executive Leadership Team as required
- Provide information to the Project Manager and execute tasks in their absence
- Other duties as assigned
Experience Requirements
- Detail-oriented with exceptional planning and organizational skills.
- 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Must be comfortable communicating at multiple levels within the business.
- Ability to meet varying deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate projects involving input from multiple participants.
- Ability to be effective with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish a good rapport with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Ability to work independently, when necessary.
- Must have an understanding of the pharmaceutical development cycle and the nomenclature associated with pharmaceutical development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret batch records, data sheets and basic mechanical drawings.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field preferred
