R&D Assistant

Blue Star Donuts is looking for an experienced R&D Assistant to join our Production team! We create delicious & unforgettable mouth watering moments Every. Single. Day.

The responsibilities of an R&D Assistant include, but is not limited to:

• Demonstrate full understanding of Blue Star Standards and Core Values

• Demonstrate full understanding of production workflow & processes

• Work closely with Executive Pastry Chef to provide support on assigned projects

• Focus on Quality Control, improving existing products & processes as directed by Executive Pastry Chef

• Demonstrate ownership of designated projects; includes researching, presenting and proposing findings and suggestions to Executive Pastry Chef in a timely and professional manner

• Assist with finalizing donut rollouts to production team; includes providing training and preparing presentation samples as needed

• Maintain R&D Kitchen, upholding sanitation & organization standards set by Executive Pastry Chef

Qualifications:

• A love for donuts!!

• Ability to travel regularly

• An excellent fit with all Blue Star Core Values

• An active cell phone, laptop and gmail account

• 5 years of kitchen experience

• Current ServSafe certification

• Compliance with OSHA & health code regulations

• Open & flexible availability (including early mornings and weekends)

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs & stand for long periods of time
