Position:
We are currently seeking a Project Manager at our Longmont, CO location.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the project execution of innovative packaging automation solutions. Typical project sizes range from $500,000 to $3,000,000. US dollars. Projects may be domestic or international. The Project Manager will coordinate the Project Team in a fast-paced, matrix environment. The team will include Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Fabrication, and Assembly personnel. Team activities include mechanical and electrical design, cost control, scheduling, quality assurance, safety, equipment procurement, equipment design, field construction activities, commissioning, and customer/client communications.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Executes projects on schedule and on budget. This includes developing and maintaining the project schedule.
- Develops and manages project budget including cost controls.
- Coordinates engineering and procurement functions to align with the schedule.
- Reviews and provides input during the design phase.
- Evaluate project risks and manages contingency plans.
- Negotiates change orders and contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Controls all deliverables against scope definition and specifications, including suppliers and subcontractors.
- Manages installation and start-up.
- Responsible for all Project documentation.
- Responsible for project closing including lessons learned and customer satisfaction surveys.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/ Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline and 5 years of relevant experience required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
- Project Management experience and knowledge are a must.
- PMP (or initiative to certify within one year of hire) is required.
- Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably with machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience with robotics.
- Must possess the ability to develop Gantt chart schedules. Microsoft Project preferred.
- Moderate AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products.
- Must have a basic understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
- Extensive experience in customer/field service and high awareness of client satisfaction and client needs are required.
- Exemplary professional communication skills, written and verbal.
