What are the responsibilities and job description for the RFP Manager position at BNY Mellon?
Produce and respond to RFP (Requests for Proposal) requests as well as client due diligence questionnaires, consultant questionnaires, and other related requests for all of Wealth Management. Understand complex subjects and possess the ability to translate to data and information into cogent and effective RFP responses. Possess strong writing and editing capabilities, particularly in regards to wealth management capabilities. Manage the Wealth Management RFP process and proposal writer(s) responsible for producing RFP responses for prospective and existing clients. The Proposal Manager facilitates strong working relationships with sales officers/relationship managers and product/subject matter experts. Manage and develop staff. Specific responsibilities include the ability to: Establish and implement procedures to ensure the quality (thoroughness, accuracy, style) of RFP responses; ensuring that responses highlight differentiating features of the firm and its many and various products and services. Manage and update the database to ensure that new/revised responses are added/updated promptly. Work with Subject Matter Experts to ensure all responses in database are accurate and current. Understand and implement compliance regulations and guidance for specific RFP types and responses.
Qualifications
College degree (BA or BS) or equivalent work experience required; coursework in business and/or finance helpful. Excellent business writing, organizational and project management skills are essential. 5+ years experience in a comparable RFP team management role required. Knowledge of financial services and securities industry required. Strong risk management mindset. Ability to implement desktop publishing quality controls, work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines is critical. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint required.
