What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roughneck position at Boart Longyear?
Boart Longyear is looking to hire Roughnecks to join the team.
Being a Roughneck, you’ll be assisting the Driller Lead by hauling supplies to and from, setting up a drill, tearing down a drill, traveling to different states, and more. This position offers a lot of growth opportunities as you work your way up to a Driller Lead position and even higher including more pay.
Your safety gear and training is fully paid for.
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Based on Experience ($17-$20/hr)
Schedule: Depends on job site. Schedules can be 7 days off with 10 days on, 10 days off with 20 days on, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
- Hauling supplies to and from the drill site
- Manual material handling
- Mixing drilling fluids
- Assisting the driller in the drilling processes
Qualifications:
- Be willing to travel weeks at a time and work in remote locations
- Be able and willing to work overtime up to 12 hour shifts
- Have a valid Driver's License
- Must pass a Background Test and Drug Screen
