Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is the organization and maintenance of the parts department and parts inventory.

Core Responsibilities

Responsibilities described in this section are fundamental to success in this position.

  • Conduct shipping and receiving activities using dealership procedures
  • Report all overages and shortages
  • Stock all parts and accessories received for stock in their correct bins and/or locations
  • Control all special and emergency orders by tagging them and notifying the appropriate person
  • Ship all parts and accessories in accordance with the carrier's shipping instructions (i.e., route, UPS, bus, express, etc.)
  • Maintain the physical inventory by keeping stock in the proper location, saleable condition, and free of safety hazards
  • Maintain bins, racks, and other equipment. Notify management of any needed repairs
  • Keep bin labels and location designations accurate and up to date
  • Conduct a perpetual inventory as directed by management
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision

  • The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally required to lift 50 to 100 lbs with proper assistance
  • Must be able to pass a drug/alcohol urinalysis and be able to drive a vehicle

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
