Let’s talk about the role!
This is a proactive position in a rapidly growing business with a high energy team. This role requires an “all hands-on deck” approach to realizing the full potential of people, brands and capabilities.
The eCommerce Lead is both business-minded and technically savvy. The role is responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to manage and direct all aspects of the ecommerce business. This includes business planning, content execution, promotional campaigns and website design, customer service, analytics, and web technologies. The eCommerce Manager will monitor performance analytics and take ownership of product performance.
Responsibilities:
- Orchestrate all aspects of a strategic ecommerce plan.
- Develop and oversee the effective planning, QA and execution of content across websites and online marketing campaigns to ensure efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of all web content publishing.
- Oversee the ecommerce websites, US and EU. Manage the overall user experience, including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns.
- Combine existing expertise in sales, marketing, technology and management to deliver a superior brand and shopping experience for all customers.
- Direct integrated campaigns that will deliver an increase in conversion rates, overall order size and managing margin performance across a variety of product lines.
- Provide thought-provoking leadership, innovation, and process optimization initiatives such as implementing leading edge ecommerce software, and other industry best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills for Success:
Seasoned professional in the digital retailing market.
Knowledge of eCommerce technologies and tactics, especially Shopify, Google Analytics, A/B Testing.
Able to interpret data and draw conclusions to implement new ecommerce strategies.
Develop, execute, and maintain digital commerce brand strategies by leveraging site data, successful delivery of business value, near and mid-term growth for the brand.
Able to work well under pressure, manage and prioritize a multitude of tasks.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s):
Goals setting and performance measurement
Generate and implement new sales and marketing initiatives to increase eCommerce sales and profitability
Demonstrate strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
Identify new areas of eCommerce opportunity beyond current organizational thinking
- Collaboration
Serve as a liaison and primary point of contact within the eCommerce organization for cross functional partners acting as a project manager to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement, and test eCommerce initiatives
Partner with key cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are factored into eCommerce projects
Manage all aspects of web analytics related to eCommerce and communicate relevant information to team members, executive leadership, and cross-functional partners
Qualifications:
- BA in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science or a related discipline
- e-Commerce: 5 years; marketing: 3 years (Preferred)
- Proven leadership of eCommerce projects, managing people
- Experience with B2C or B2B eCommerce
- Extensive knowledge of e-commerce technology and analytics
