RESIDENTIAL REHABILITATION SPECIALIST (On-Call)
Boley Centers, Inc., a nationally recognized and accredited behavioral health care agency, has an opening for a Behavioral Health Technician.
This position provides training in daily living skills to residents of the Enhanced Community residences, group Homes and supervised apartments. Maintains a safe and secure residential environment by performing security checks, bed checks, and crisis intervention as needed or per facility practice. Documents services provided to residents as per individualized Service Implementation Plans.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED
EXPERIENCE: Six months of experience working in a human service organization. 30 hours of college credits can be substituted for experience. Experience working with individuals with mental illness preferred.
KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, living skills training, medication monitoring.
SKILLS & ABILITIES: Good skills and demonstrated abilities essential in such areas as oral and written communication techniques, coordination, cooperation, service documentation, interpersonal relations, use of basic language, following verbal and written procedures and instructions, recording information orally and in writing, verbal and physical crisis intervention techniques. Good skills and demonstrated abilities desirable in such areas as follow through, attention to detail, use of basic math, instructing, teaching, coaching, working independently, problem solving, negotiating, flexibility, decision making, scheduling own work, evaluating and organizing own work.
REQUIREMENTS: Valid Florida driver's license required.
COMPENSATION: $10.00/Hr
LOCATION: Various Group Residences in Pinellas County - as needed.
