What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Lead position at Boloco?

The Boloco Team Lead is responsible for leading his/her team in the successful daily shift operations of the restaurant. This key role is to provide deliberate and personable hospitality to guests and crew members alike; to make sure that the restaurant is running smoothly and crew is working efficiently; daily problems are being resolved quickly; all shift running systems and daily cash management systems are being used. The Team Leader position is a lead into an Assistant Manager position.


A Boloco Team Lead is well-versed in all things Boloco and is able to easily communicate the history and mission of the company to anyone willing to listen. A Team Lead is a Boloco brand ambassador. In addition to following Boloco policies and procedures, main accountabilities are as follows:

  • Sets an appropriate image and role model that is reflective of Boloco’s standards
  • Provides our guests with a heightened dining experience by setting clear hospitality expectations from the team to the guests and accommodating guest needs
  • Maintains excellent food quality and follows all food safety measures
  • Plans shifts
  • Manages cash; knows and uses all of Boloco’s cash systems
  • Communicates information from management to crew, from crew to management, from customers to crew and from shift to shift

Team Leads can think on their feet and can find quick and guest-friendly solutions. Above all, Team Leads have a passion for taking care of the guests and towards the food business. A Boloco team Lead starts off at $16/hour with an average tip earning of an additional $3.11/hour!


REQUIREMENTS

  • Sign-off of all stations, including cook position
  • Serve Safe certified
  • CPR/Choke-saver certified
  • Ability to interact with guests, friendly and difficult alike, and make quick guest-friendly decisions
  • Ability to communicate problems and solutions to the Boloco Team
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
  • Basic computer skills
  • Passion for food
