As a key-member of the team, the Proposal Coordinator will facilitate the proposal process for new and expanding business opportunities. This position is a highly visible role that works closely with senior management throughout the opportunity life cycle.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and efficient critical thinker who maintains professionalism under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities in alignment with firm and practice-level business development initiatives.

Lead the proposal team as project manager, through all phases of the proposal process.
- Facilitate and lead internal proposal kick-off and review meetings.
- Ensure internal and external deadlines are met
- Establish priorities and manage resources appropriately
- Consistently monitor requests for information and maintain continuous contact to ensure timely delivery of final product.
- Create, maintain, and manage content in proposal management software.
- Create high-quality, compelling responses for assigned proposals to include associated graphics, charts, tables, and appendices.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of Bolton’s services by participating in training, reviewing internal and external communications, and attending department & practice meetings.
- Conduct market and competitor research/analysis.
- Support digital marketing initiatives.
- Manage CRM and prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
- Support meetings, conferences, and trade shows as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing or related field or equivalent (5 years) work experience.
- Prior experience writing professional services proposals.
- Advanced writing, editing, and proofreading skills and high attention to detail.
- Able to generate ideas for content as well as review and edit existing narratives.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to get up to speed quickly on a wide variety of topics.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced, challenging, and deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to write persuasively and tailor style and approach to specific client.
- Self-starter and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Flexible and able to cope with changing conditions.
- Ability to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas and think outside the box to develop solutions.
- Experience with GovWin, RFPIO, and Microsoft Dynamics a plus!
- Public Sector Experience a plus!
