As a Sales Manager at BombBomb, you’re going to hire and develop high-performing sales professionals who consistently meet and exceed revenue targets.  You’re good at setting and achieving goals, and you help others do the same. You’re skilled at building teams. You love applying solid processes, and refine bad ones. You measure results. You’re curious to uncover the diverse strengths of an individual, and you coach them to win utilizing encouragement, direction, and accountability where appropriate. You know how to hold high-impact 1-on-1s, and you help salespeople become their best selves while delivering results. You report directly to The VP of Revenue, and you're accountable for your team’s results.  

What you will do...

  • Lead Salespeople
    • Meet sales targets while considering business objectives and other key performance indicators of a healthy sales team - like revenue-producing activities. 
    • Help create an amazing sales culture and provide leadership to sales people in a manner that fosters a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior. 
    • Work with the VP of Revenue to build an effective sales team, including sales roles and scorecards. Additionally, support sales org change initiatives by championing change initiatives and helping to remove obstacles impeding constructive organizational change. 
    • Ensure adherence to sales org Rules of Engagement and monitor critical performance measures for the team to identify successes, failures, and opportunities for improvement. Ensure an equitable and productive sales environment, and that salespeople are held accountable for assigned results.
    • Lead learning and development initiatives impacting the sales team.  Understand learning and development objectives essential to the sales organization’s success and ensure the effective delivery of training and development programs. 
  • Deliver Process Excellence
    • Ensure the adoption and optimization of the sales tool stack.
    • Measure and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reporting critical to the success of the team, including accurate documentation and recordkeeping in tools like Salesforce and Outreach. 
    • Understand and support the “Winning by Design” sales methodology and ensure its application within the customer experience. 
  • Attract, hire, retain, and develop top employees
    • 95% placement success (95% of all new-hires performing at a satisfactory or higher level by 90 days of employment against scorecard)
    • Scorecard established for every employee of the department
    • Ongoing Development and Review Process
      • Ensure bi-weekly scorecard-based development conversations with every member of the team and proactively seek to aid in the professional development of associates and leaders. Help employees identify and utilize their greatest strengths. 
      • Ensure annual employee performance reviews for every member of the team
      • Ensure annual compensation reviews for every member of the team
  • Learn, innovate, and grow
    • Help establish and achieve “SMART” goals every quarter for the team that yield quantifiable results around sustaining, building, and improving the business and drive toward the “key number” and/or “rocks” established in the quarterly leadership planning meeting.
    • In addition to goals that benefit the company, also work to establish goals around your own professional development. Demonstrate progress in every bi-weekly 1x1.

Our ideal candidate will be or have…

  • 6 years of sales experience (SaaS preferred)
  • Proven history of meeting and exceeding revenue goals, either individually or through leadership
  • Prior experience in sales enablement preferred (coaching and developing a team)
  • Prior success in the areas of Account Management and / or Account Expansion 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with (but not limited to) Salesforce, Outreach, Leandata, Chorus, Clearibit, Jira, Docusign, Confluence, Drift, Truly, BombBomb, Linkedin Navigator, Seamless, Salesloft, Tableau, Slack, Zoom

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 annually. Final compensation for this role is determined by a variety of factors, such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. The total compensation for this position is a mix of base salary and variable compensation based on team performance.
