Bonhams US Motoring division is looking for a proactive Customer Account Representative to assist with our online auction customer engagement processes to provide an exemplary experience for our sellers. This role will be based in Los Angeles. The Customer Account Representative must have a familiarity with automotive auction processes and interest in collector cars, polished communication skills, fantastic people skills, and a high attention to detail. Your daily responsibilities will include reviewing seller vehicle submissions for completeness, resolving incomplete listings, launching and monitoring active listings, and supporting customer communications. The ideal candidate will be well organised, responsive, and collaborate well with team members.
- Review and assess seller submitted vehicles for complete submission profile
- Manage correspondence with sellers. Respond in a timely manner with appropriate action
- Coordinate internal and external resources to fulfil timelines, deadlines, and auction scheduling
- Arrange auction listings, to include photos, text, videos and documents.
- Monitor assigned account listings and comments during live auctions
- Proactively build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with sellers, driving account revenue, retention, and growth
- Respond to customer inquires
- Interest and/or knowledge of collector cars preferred
- Minimum of three years proven account management, or other relevant experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Aptitude for multi-tasking, and for managing heavy volume of emails and phone calls
- Proactive work style with a 'no excuses' mindset and focused on getting results
- Comfortable with technology and experienced with Word, Outlook and Excel in a Windows environment
- Thorough understanding of what a comprehensive collector car auction listing should look like
- Ability to identify gaps in auction submission information and work with sellers to resolve
