Job Posting for CAPTAIN (Team Lead) at BONNELL ALUMINUM
Bonnell Aluminum is seeking a Team Leader (Captain) for our precision parts department. The candidate will ensure timely processing and accuracy of machine parts per customer’s request. This includes managing a team of machine operators, measuring parts customer expectations, setting up CNC mills and automated cells. You will assist the Value Stream Engineer and Facilitator in identifying problems and areas of improvement.
SHIFT: Sunday - Tuesday every other Wednesday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Manage & conduct safety training.
Drive process adherence
Maintain accurate inventories through cycle counts & inventory adjustments.
Blueprint reading skills.
Know basic shop floor programming on CNC machines,
Assist or perform set-ups on CNC machines.
Ability to coach, develop and lead production employees.
Operate CNC / Equipment.
Strong problem solving and advanced math skills.
Communicating needs between various departments.
What You’ll Need to Have
Ability to delegate and anticipate needs of the value stream and employees.
1-2 years CNC experience.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Ability to inspire others to work efficiently, defuse conflict and make good decisions.
Ability to efficiently use a computer, including programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds on a regular basis.
Proven leadership experience
Excellent inspection skills.
Work overtime as required.
Mechanically skilled
