Job description
Below is the overview of a Logistics Customer Care Representative (LCCR) position with a logistics focus we are seeking to fulfill in our Operations Department.
Shift Time: * 10AM to 7PM (M – F) / Full-Time
Reports to: Operations Manager
* Note: General schedule is as noted above but candidate may be asked to open/close the facility on days other team members are out of office. This flexibility is a requirement for the position.
Position Overview: The LCCR is a multi-functional position that requires critical thinking and process resolution. A key element of this position is the cultivation and maintenance of partnerships within Bonnie Speed, to its customers, and the Independent Contractor Driver Pool. It will be essential for the LCCR to identify and know the top twenty customers. Responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:
- Answering customer/driver calls timely and efficiently.
- Utilizing dispatch software to dispatch orders to drivers. Assigns transports to drivers based on availability, logistics, and previously scheduled transports.
- Collaboration with internal personnel, external partners, and independent contractors.
- Manage timely input, dispatch, pick up, and delivery of every order while focusing on client’s needs and service excellence standards for customer satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot all shipment/client problems, resolve, document and report all service failures.
Functions: Customer Care, Dispatching, and Administrative
Requirements:
- High School diploma, some college preferred
- 2 Years of experience in trucking industry, brokerage, sales/service, or dispatching
- Excellent PC & MS Office skills
- Type 40 WPM
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
- Courteous and professional
- EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT listening skills
- Ability to manage customer conflict while under pressure in a challenging environment
- Organizational skills are a prerequisite
- Can work independently and in a team environment
- STRONG, STRONG, STRONG attention to detail and follow up skills
