The Opportunity:
Everyone is trying to âharness the cloud,â but not everyone knows how to secure it. As a cloud security architect, you know how to assess and implement requirements that ensure the safety of information systems and protect them against intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. What if you could use your advanced cloud security skills to deliver mission critical data to explore Earth system data sources through the use and creation of scientific processes and technologies to uncover and communicate climate intelligence insights? We need you to guide the development of cloud-based solutions to some of the federal climate communityâs toughest challenges. As a cloud security architect on our team, youâll design a secure, cloud-based text analytics platform to support mission critical operations. Youâll guide your team as they research the current environment and recommend tools and capabilities from various on premise, cloud based, and hybrid resources.
Youâll share expertise with your team through leadership and mentoring, as they help the customer overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with migration teams to develop and re-platform existing capabilities and build new ones throughout the cloud migration process. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with clients to ensure standards are met with information assurance and security requirements. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies, as you look for ways to improve your customerâs environment using current cloud capabilities. Youâll be able to sharpen your skills in automation, cloud-based security, native cloud services, and more, while developing critical systems and mentoring tomorrowâs cloud security experts. You Have:â¯Â

5 years of experience implementing and maintaining security within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments
-
3 years of experience administrating or engineering security, network, or system infrastructure
-
Experience implementing and maintaining a cloud security architecture
-
Experience with developing and evaluating security documentation, including system security plans, contingency plans, security procedures, and continuity of operations plans
-
Experience working in an Agile development environment
-
Experience with securing container and orchestration solutions, including Kubernetes, OpenShift, or managed services, such as AWS EKS, GCP GKE, or Azure AKSÂ
-
Experience implementing and configuring cloud security services, such as Identity and Access Management, Security policies, secrets management, firewalls, VPC Service controls, key management, Cloud IDS, and certificate authority services

Knowledge of the software development life cycle and development methodologies
-
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

Bachelorâs degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individualâs particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allenâs total compensation package for employees.
